Alexander Brandon Returns to Deus Ex!

It's true, Alexander Brandon has revisited his Deus Ex work! While it's not work on an entire new soundtrack it is great fans around the world. He joined forces with 'Big Giant Circles' of OCR to mix together some classic Deus Ex tunes. He also provided them with a full interview to go with the release.
Deus Ex 'Siren Synapse' is available to download free from the OCR website.

 First update of 2009, and I like to think this is a gift that is going to keep giving!
This is a dues-esque recommendation for the artist Morpheus X. This is the solo project of Kev from Auteur Theory, the band behind the DX remix album ‘The Long Night’ – so you know the similarities with the OST are gonna be strong!
So far there’s just 1 release, ‘The Shadow EP’, which can be streamed in full on the official Morpheus X last.fm page.
You can also subscribe to the Ambient Moods podcast and download the second song from the EP totally free – along with a host of other ambient music!

I wasn't sure if this song should be included here. There are moments where the atmospheric synth is undeniably deus-esque. Of course, unlike DX, Pink Floyd feature more guitar, and vocals! However, this is not a bad thing! This song is the kind of tune that you can imagine JC listening to, on his days off!
Though the track from the studio is very similar the live version is far more atmospheric and grand!

Synapse Remake

...and we're back! Apologies for the recent lack of updates, but I'm here again and I come bearing gifts! This latest addition to the site is a tidy remake of the ever popular Hong Kong streets music created by 'Crescendo' from Croatia.
He's used some updated instruments and rearranged the piece to extend it through a couple of cycles. Nothing new, but nicely done.

Don't ask me how to pronounce the name of the band but this song sounds similar to the music of UNATCO HQ. Similar synth sounds come through and the piece has lots of atmosphere!!

This is a remix/cover of Alive (Just a Lie) by Still Existing. It's by an unsigned university student. It's great because it captures the same atmospheric moods of Deus Ex. The chord progressions are similar too. It'd work really well as one of the club tunes.

That's right, it's been a busy day for DX-Music! We have added 7 new remixes!
All of them are by the same remixer(s), a band called Auteur Theory. We brought you a news item not so long ago informing you of the release of the album 'The Long Night'. Well we've finally got round to adding all the songs to our archive. You can download all the songs, and get a little more info on the project here.
The remixes featured are from the following levels: UNATCO HQ, NYC Streets, Hong Kong Streets, Ocean Lab, DuClare Chateau, plus a remix of the main tune and a second UNATCO remix (which we have had hosted for quite some time already).
Along with that we've also updated the site slightly, you can now add more info to your profile on your Deus Ex habbits, just click the 'settings' link in the top left menu once logged in to see what's new!

Yesterday saw the release of Auteur Theory's second album. It's called, 'The Long Night', and as you may have guessed it's an album of Deus Ex remixes! It took them just over a year to complete and features 8 original remixes from the first game.
We will soon be adding it to our database here on dx-music, but if you can't wait you can head over to their site and download it for free. Here's the link:

I would just like to apologise for the recent down-time the site has been experiencing. Many strange things occurred that I was not expecting due to some rather severe server issues. I’ve been assured by my host that these problems have now all been resolved and we can continue as normal!
Hopefully it didn’t cause you too many problems, but if it did I am sorry. Rest assured that the site is still here though, and we plan to be for a good long while yet!
